Eight Days In

Today was Lola's eighth full day incubating her six eggs, and for the past three days she has been nicely settled. We should see the eggs starting to hatch this week. They could start hatching as early as Thursday, but I suspect it's more likely to happen over the weekend.

Lola had an early-morning unwanted visitor today. She splayed her tail feathers and dived at the entrance several times, but whoever it was thankfully didn't stay too long. Maybe it was just a Blue Tit looking for a home. She went back to sleep a couple of minutes later.

There's not much to do, other than sleep...

Following Lola's four-hour absence on Thursday, Charlie started making more frequent visits with food, but today he didn't turn up at all. That's not entirely unusual behaviour, but I would hope to see him at some point tomorrow.
