The garden was rather quiet on Christmas day - which was a shame, because watching the birds is infinitely more interesting than watching a Scalextric...

So, just a few shots from Christmas day...

Black-headed Gull on the frosty lawn in the morning

And a Blackbird on the birdbath in the afternoon

I want more -8°C temperatures!

Do you want the temp to go back down because then the mud will freeze? Who got the Scalextrix?

The Scalextric was supposedly for Birdboy...

I want minus temps to get the birds in the garden! It's too quiet when it's a tropical 7°C!

A wonderful 2nd year male! Looks the contrast between old (brown) and new (black) wing feathers...

With the best wishes,
